'Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Finale' weigh-ins take place Friday in San Jose

Official fighter weigh-ins for "Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Finale" take place Friday.

HP Pavilion's main concourse in San Jose, Calif., plays host to the festivities, which are free and open to the public.

Among those weighing in are headliners and heavyweight-grand-prix finalists Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier.

The San Jose venue also plays hosts to next Saturday's event. The May 19 broadcast includes a four-fight main card on Showtime and four prelims on Showtime Extreme.

In addition to Barnett vs. Cormier, which is five-round non-title fight, reigning lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez meets ex-titleholder Josh Thomson in a rubber match.
